Xpression in Motion
Senior Dance Company
The Taneytown Dance Center's resident dance company, Xpression in Motion was formed in 2005 and has flourished under the wing of Miss Kimberly McCord-Golliday, Directrice. Xpression in Motion features individually selected, advanced dance students with a strong dedication to the pursuit of their dance training.
Xpression in Motion has performed at Ripken Stadium for Game Opening and at the annual celebration of Winterfest of Lights in Ocean City. We are also dedicated to our community and have performed at numerous local community events, including the Taneytown Christmas Tree Lighting Celebration, local Chamber of Commerce events, the Westminster Fall Fest, European "Taneytown" band opening, and more.
Through the Taneytown Dance Center's Master Class Program, we have had the pleasure of welcoming professional dancers and choreographers, including Lynnette Voegth, Pat-Y-O, and Madame Paula Callou, former Premiere Danseuse for the Paris Opera Ballet.

I'm Allie! I've been dancing for about 8 years and my favorite type of dance is Hip-hop! It's such a fun genre of dance and I enjoy that class! My favorite food is chicken. Dance, Soccer, Family, Friends, and School is what my life revolves around. I'm a Freshman. This is my second year with Senior Company and I'm so, so excited to learn more pieces this year!!

Hi, my name is Brandy, and I'm in 9th grade. I have been dancing for 9 years. I do a lot of genres in dance but my favorite is hip hop! Aside from dance I like to cheer, play softball and hang out with my friends and family! In company we are all like one big family who trusts each other! Hi, I'm Cara! I'm in the 10th grade. My favorite food is pasta, and my favorite subjects in school are English and Dance. I've been dancing for eight years, and I've been in Senior company for seven years. It's the best! (: My favorite genre is ballet and pointe, but I love all kinds if dance! Aside from dance, I love hanging outside, being with my friends and family and reading! All of my dance sisters are like one big family, and we are all supportive of one another! Live to Dance! <3
Hi my name is Conner. I am a senior in high school. I am currently a Varsity Cheerleader and a member of my school's dance team. This will be my 9th year dancing at Taneytown Dance Center, and I love it! Everyone here is like one big family and are so supportive! I take every style of dance from Ballet to Hip-Hop. I enjoy all of them, but my favorites are ballet, modern and jazz. In my free time, I love to hang out with my family and friends, read, and, of course, more dancing! My favorite food is steak and my favorite color is turquoise. LIVE TO DANCE!
Hi, Im Danielle... Dani for short! I'm in the 9th grade and have been dancing for 7 years. This is my 6th year with Miss Kim. All of the girls are like my other family, we've always got each others back. My favorite types of dance are modern, hip-hop, and jazz! I love dancing because its a way to express everything you feel. Dancing from your heart is always the best way to dance! Outside of dance i love to snowboard, play softball and hang out with my friends and family. My favorite food is tacos and my favorite color is pink and I absolutely LOVE sparkles! Hi I’m Emily! I am in 9th grade, and have been dancing for 11 years. I have been in Company for 4 years now and I love it, we’re like a big family! I take Latin jazz, modern, jazz, and ballet, but my favorite is modern. I love dance because it’s a way to say and express everything you feel through movement. Other than dance I love hanging out with friends and family, riding 4-wheelers, fishing, and just having fun! My favorite color is pink and I love steak and pickles! DANCE from the HEART<3! 
Hi my name is Jordan, and I am a dancer at Taneytown Dance Center. I am currently in 9th grade. I have been dancing for 7 years. The girls in company are like my family, I love them so much. I love dancing, dancing is my life, and it is my sport. I do all different types of dance. My favorite type of dance has to be tap and modern. When I’m not dancing I am hanging out with my friends and spending time with my family.

I am a junior in high school and a part of my school's dance team. This is my 9th year dancing at Taneytown Dance Center! Dancing is an important part of my life. Besides dancing, I also enjoy spending time with my friends and family! I also enjoy singing and reading. My favorite styles of dance are jazz and modern.

Hi, I’m Olivia! I’m currently a sophmore in high school. This is my second year with Senior Company, but I’ve been dancing with Miss Kim for 7 years now. And I’m enjoying every minute of it! My favorite styles of dance are tap and modern, although I love all aspects of dance. When I’m not dancing, I’m either horseback riding or water skiing. One of the things I like best about Taneytown Dance Center is how everyone is like one big family. Miss Kim is a big inspiration to me, and I look up to her all the time. I have learned to set goals, learned new dances, and learned life lessons in my time at the studio. I also love my lil’ sis Jay! <3 who is doing amazing in all her dance classes!! Oh, and one more thing….LIVE TO DANCE!
Senior Dance Company Requirements
Xpressions in Motion members demonstrate their dedication to dance through intense weekly schedules including further training in advanced ballet techniques, pointe (where age appropriate), modern, jazz, hip hop, and tap.
Xpressions in Motion members are required to take a once a week Ballet Tech class with the Directrice and participate in 1 1/2 hour weekly. rehearsals and all performances. Members must maintain appropriate grade averages in school and must always demonstrate an attitude and behavior consistent with the values of the Taneytown Dance Center.
Xpressions in Motion members devote each Saturday to Company-specific rehearsals, Master Classes, and performances around the region.
Students must serve at least 2 years as an official member of the Junior Company before being considered for a position with the Senior Company. However, being a member of Jr. does not guarantee a place in Senior Company.
Students must audition in the summer in front of a panel of external judges to become a part of any company. If you would like additional information on Xpressions in Motion, please contact the Directrice.
