Francesca Walters

[Student Instructor]

Francesca started learning ballet at four years old before pursuing figure skating training as a young girl. She began dancing at Taneytown Dance Center in 2014 and auditioned for Young Company (now Apprentice Company) in 2015. Francesca has always enjoyed working with young children and began as a teacher’s assistant in 2016 later moving to Miss Kim’s training under the studio’s Teacher Apprentice Program. Her favorite genre is Modern, however, she really enjoys teaching Hip Hop, which was the very first class she assisted as a student and became the first class she taught as a Student Instructor during the 2021 Summer Session.

Francesca is a student at Francis Scott Key High School and is pursuing her dream of being a licensed cosmetologist by studying at the Carroll County Career and Technology Center. She will graduate in the class of 2023.

“Being a young teacher, it is awesome to not only watch each of my students grow both as dancers and as young ladies and gentlemen but also to grow alongside them while I continue my training.”
